The T8020 Mission and Vision
Mission Statement: We will clearly articulate what the group stands for and its core purpose. The T8020 is “Empowering citizens to create their own political issues input and address systemic corruption, promoting community-driven policies that candidates and elected officials should try to effect.
Vision: “Reshaping the political landscape to reflect grassroots priorities." To implement this vision, we have many tasks we have achieved:
Identified our Target Audience
Who Are We Serving? We will be focusing mainly on everyday citizens. We will also target not only disenchanted voters, independents, and those feeling unrepresented by the two-party system, but also those entrenched in political party politics.
Key Demographics: We will grow to understand our audience's age, income level, education, and geographic distribution. That will help us to understand their issues better.
Pain Points: What issues matter most to our citizens? We will identify them with the help of citizens in each locale: Economic issues, healthcare, climate change, border crisis, crime, local governance, etc.
Established Leadership and Structure
Core Leadership Team: Not only will we recruit individuals with experience in successful business operations at the local and national levels, we will also recruit city-based leaders who want to join an issues-based organization. We will recruit novices who have shown by example a true concern for their local community. And, of course, those who have been discarded by the community because of past mistakes, will get a true second chance!
Committees: We will create specialized committees for fundraising, communications, outreach, and strategy.
Community Outreach:
Hosting town halls and listening sessions will be frequent. They will be accomplished by our City Directors.
We will partner with local organizations and advocacy groups, as long as they are not using our relationship to promote a political party vs. citizen's issues.
Volunteer Recruitment:
We will make extensive use of social media, events, using ai-based tools to attract City Directors and initial city token holders.
The City Director will then offer roles for all skill levels (e.g., canvassers, graphic designers, policy researchers).
Developed a Policy Platform
Core Issues: We will focus on 3-5 key issues per community to avoid overextending resources. But with AI, there is no real limit to what issues we can address. So, even though it may not be a priority, we should be able to handle most, if not all citizen's needs - independent of general importance.
Community Input: Use surveys, forums and polls to ensure policies reflect grassroots priorities.
Expert Support: We will collaborate with academics or policy experts to refine proposals. We will make special use of college interns as we are already doing with UCF in Orlando, FL.
Leveraged Technology and Social Media (Use AI for advanced capabilities)
Social Media:
Focus on platforms where our audience is active (Twitter, Instagram, TikTok and Youtube are our major targets).
Share stories, videos and infographics, using AI to engage followers.
Email Campaigns: Build a contact list for regular updates and fundraising appeals. Use proprietary databases to enhance ability to contact people. We believe direct contact through other methods is far superior to emails, but we will do some limited marketing in this manner. With AI, we have a competitive advantage in quickly building these consensus databases.
Developed a Media and Public Relations Strategy
Press Releases: Announce major events, policy launches and endorsements.
Media Partnerships: Build relationships with local journalists and independent media outlets. The caveat is that there are few independent journalists in today's society. We must pick neutral reporters as potential partners. We are building a local newspaper in Orlando that competes with the existing and biased local paper. That opportunity will be given to a City Director who decides that using his own channel is a superior approach to connecting with established local media. In the long term, we believe we could have our own newspapers in each city, replacing local news as currently configured.
Public Events:
Organize rallies, protests and community service events.
Use these as opportunities for media coverage, primarily through our own media marketing.
Prioritized Candidates Issues for Office
Start Local: Focus on city councils, school boards and state legislatures.
Candidate Training:
Offer workshops on public speaking, policy analysis and campaign management with T8020 affiliates. These will be a revenue source for the T8020, which will allow us to expand both within cities and the addition of new cities.
Train candidates on digital campaign strategies. J-Washington Consultants is a T8020 partner and expert in these areas. T8020 will share in revenues with J-Washington and Points Club in this segment, revenues which will be used to expand the T8020 network.
Support System: Provide resources such as voter data, campaign templates and volunteer support. Our Municipal Staff will make these available to the community through social media and AI-supported systems.
